MAHATMA GANDHI
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, also known as Gandhi, was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist and political ethicist who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule, and to later inspire movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Indian lawyer, politician, social activist, and writer who became the leader of the nationalist movement .Mahatma Gandhi was the primary leader of India's independence movement and also the architect of a form of non-violent civil disobedience that would influence the world.
Mohandas was known to his many followers as Mahatmaji, or “the great-souled one.”
